To my disappointment very few cars departed the Rock Pool that morning but were greeted by a crowd when we got to Brambles. We had a FABULOUS morning tea at Brambles Reserve. I wrote “scones” in my Event reminder. Ros picked up on it saying sorry no scones. They all know my love for scones, jam and cream! Carol didn’t let it rest there so she made scones and almost everyone enjoyed her fresh scones. Cream picked up on the way. Delighted to have Brian and Liz Galloway with us, brought along a huge bunch of freshly cut bananas and shared them around. What a difference fresh picked flavour is when 10 days later they were ready to enjoy. We had plenty of time to chat as lunch was only a short rally drive through the Forrest’s to Bulahdelah. I was enjoying the road in the Jag , Albeit with a constant lookout for potholes. Keith and Mary followed and Don with his Jag full of people. The driver’s enjoyed the chase. I’m not sure the passengers did!
The Bulahdelah Golf Club do an extensive and flavoursome Chinese menu for $12 to satisfy all. Then a sedately drive home up the M1.
