Preparations for Motorfest 2025 are now well and truly underway. The 2024 Mid Coast Ford Motorfest was a great success. Motorfest 2025 is set to be even bigger!

πŸ† New to Motorfest 2025 will be the inaugural Rocker Cover Racing competition.

Rocker Cover Racing gives old, unused rocker covers from actual engines a second chance at life. No longer will they be a small and unnoticed elements of a bigger product. With Rocker Cover Racing, they leave their engines and the cars they’re tightly packed in behind as they themselves become the centerpiece.

Competitors take these old rocker covers and transform them into speed machines. With wheels and axles put on and of course racing stripes (to make it go faster), the rocker covers are ready for action. The only limit – one’s creativity!

Our organisers are in the final stages of establishing the rules for this inaugural event.

Bizarre story behind this one, While browsing online to see what had been posted about our club, one of our members came across this badge from around the time of the club’s inaugurationβ€” and the item location? England! … We couldn’t work out how it found its way to the UK πŸ˜†
In terms of age; he best I can work out, it’s probably from the early to mid 1990s, as the Club was formed in 1991. This badge is engraved on the reverse with the maker’s name β€œDetail Casting”, with a 05 phone number, and the remnants of a Victorian address. Victoria discontinued the last of the 05 dialling codes in 1996. Interesting story!

πŸ—£οΈπŸ“’ Announcement from Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Motor ClubπŸ—£οΈπŸ“’

We are watching the weather and are still confident that Saturday will be going ahead as planned for Motorfest. We will update this page daily.
We can’t predict what impact the Cyclone may have and will only cancel if the weather turns sour. So far we have had a very occasional shower amongst sunny and cloudy periods and believe this will not affect our event.

Updates are being posted on the TGHNMC Facebook Page and Website. πŸŒ€πŸŒ§οΈ Please heed cyclone weather warnings and stay safe.

Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Motor Club Inc. was established in 2002 for the purpose of providing a Club for local Motoring Enthusiasts to enjoy informative discussions on interesting motoring related topics while also supporting local service organisations.
