KMARC Valley Rally – 6th & 7th May 2023
Saturday 6th Meet and greet, morning tea at the weather shed in the caravan park and given our rally pack.
All the cars were parked in the caravan park parking area. 46 participants for this rally which was down from previous years. Quite a few spectators observed the good variety of cars as we left on our run at 10:15am. The tour took us around a well marshalled run around Belmore River, North to South West Rocks, Arrakoon, then up to the race course in West Kempsey, where all the vehicles were parked in ten-year categories for judging. Lunch was served at 12:30pm – delicious sandwiches, drinks, cup cakes and fruit.
At 2:30pm, a retutn to home and afternoon of your choice. Sunday 7th 9am, brunch was served in the weather shed, sausage, bacon, egg, bread rolls, coleslaw, potato salad, tea and coffee. After which, the car judfing was announced, raffles drawn, goods auction and farewell speeches by the KMARC President and Treasurer. The Presidents Choice was won by Albert Waldock’s 1961 Chevrolet Bel Air. The 1960-69 won by Harvey Haworth’s 1967 Holden HR. Of the 24 rallies run by KMARC, Harvey and I have attended 22 and really appreciate all the effort and hard work the organisation put in by the participating members. Thank you.
